Osteopathy is helpful for many kinds of pain, for organ dysfunctions, for problems of the musculoskeletal system, for pre-and postnatal problems, for burnout and for many other problems.

Osteopathy does not know any barriers when it comes to age. It is a wonderful way to support, maintain or restore health right from the start, continuing through life and, of course, when we reach a more advanced age. It is especially important for children to provide a good start and a correct base for their further development.

Indications

  • Pain in the upper or lower back or the neck (following a slipped disc, lumbago, postural problems ...).
  • Problems with peripheral joints (foot, shoulder, knee, elbow…).
  • Limitations of movement, perfusion disorders, venous or lymphatic congestion; neuralgia (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome).
  • Headache, vertigo, migraine, vestibular disorders.
  • Problems with ears, sinuses, swallowing (sudden deafness, tinnitus, chronic infections …).
  • Dental problems, dental braces (accompanying treatment).
  • Digestive problems (heartburn, abdominal pain …), respiratory problems.

  • It is also advisable having oneself or one's child undergo preventative osteopathic treatment following injury, surgery or simply once a year.

specific for children

  • Disturbances of normal physical, emotional and mental development.
  • Growth problems, language problems.
  • Sleep disturbances, bedwetting.

  • Weakened immunity.
  • Postural problems or scoliosis.
  • Lack of concentration or behavioural problems.
  • Learning difficulties or dyslexia.

Case example children:

In some cases dental or jaw malpositions are caused by tensions in the pelvic or cranial area (originating during birth). The osteopath balances the tensions in the body facilitating any necessary dental corrections made.

specific for newborns

Even if your baby is doing extremely well, it is always helpful to have an osteopath check him/her through. Minute malfunctions developing during even normal childbirth, may not be detected with the naked eye. Proper osteopathic treatment will help your baby to achieve perfect development and growth without any problems.
